Student Design Submission
Thank you for your interest in submitting your design ideas to Janlynn. Janlynn is a 31+ year old company located in Chicopee, MA and we are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Through October 29th, 2010 we are taking student submissions for our 2011 Make it Coolâ„¢ pillowcase art kits. Each kit will include 1 preprinted pillowcase in black ink and fabric crayons to color the design. It will be very similar to what you find in the link below, but using generic designs rather than licensed designs.

The dimensions of the design space are 16" X 18" and should be drawn to best utilize the space. We recommend using no smaller than a 2 point line weight overall but your individual design may require the use of some thicker or thinner line weights.
Design submissions must be done in line work similar to a coloring book design style and be submitted with a print out and a disk containing the illustrator artwork. Although a color rendition is not required, it may help convey your vision increasing your chances of having your design chosen.
We will be choosing 1 design from each of the 12 categories. Â You can choose to submit one or several designs in as many categories as you like.

Often these art projects are used at children's birthday parties as an activity or party favor. In many of the inspirational examples, on the top left you will find a corresponding party theme and on the upper right side you will find a line art drawing or product that is similar to the product you are designing for. If your design is chosen we will purchase the rights of the design for $100 and have your name credited as the designer on the product when that product is marketed.
